Five-Minute-Friday ~ 31 Day Challenge for October ~ Help

Help!

The timer is set...

Go!

With what is happening around us, "help" is perfect for today!

Besides what help I might need to write my story,
many others are needing more help then I would ever need.

Praise God!

Living on the border, we see not what the president is saying, but families with children, wanting to come here for a better life. They MUST come to our border to request entry. Willing to go through the long, long process to hopefully be given the entry. They work jobs many American don't want to do. They know they have to keep their faith, work hard, receive education, and honor God, all for their freedom. Just like us, and like our ancestors. Just like us, they will work hard, use what resources are available, to better their lives and their children. Yes, there are some who abuse the system,
but I know there are many more Americans abusing that same system as well.

To me, it is all Gods land, to begin with.

Same world, different time and lands, but all His!

Help is what God wants from us.

Help others in need.

Don't we teach our children to help others in our communities,
to help the families in Haiti, and Sierra Leone?
We encourage them to donate money and items to help those in need.
Yet, when a mass of people leave their abusive country and head to what they believe
is the promised land, just like those in the bible, they are met with hatred.

NO! the timer can't STOP me!

Somedays I might type faster than the timer, but not today.

HELP!

I am outraged over the division being promoted in our country.
It's the "Dems" fault, and before that, it was the GOP's fault.
Back and forth these two sides continually bicker and fight back and forth.
Our President calls them names, like thugs and criminals, threatening them with the same violence similar to what they are fleeing!
There has been an overworked immigration system for a long time.
Long before those who are trying to come today!

It's like the crowds the fled Egypt over 2000 years ago.
What about the wagon trains that moved across our own country for a better life?

Some of these other countries won't take care of their poor, providing them with less and less, while ministeries pick up where they won't.

The words on our Statue of Liberty are strong...

Yes, there are probably some in the crowd with different intentions.
Maybe a few are criminals.
By their own actions, their improper paperwork, they will be weeded out.
Sent back like others before them.
Only for them to try again and again.
Yes, there are those who go around the system illegally.
The majority of that crowd will wait the many, many months
it will take to hopefully become citizens.

Even then they will continue to receive backlash as if they are illegals!

When did America lose humanity?

We've been helping those crowds, through and for Jesus,
we teach them the scriptures, we give them hope.
We should help those who are walking toward a better life,
and if anything at least say some prayers.

Rarely will you see me write something or anything political.
But when I see what's happening, and hearing God calling for something to be done,
I wonder who will listen to Him and do what is right to help these families.

What would Jesus do?
