Talk...
For five minutes...
GO!
Talking to God is one of my all-time favorite things to do!
Talking to Him had never been a problem for me. Lately, though, I have been somewhat quiet. Keeping things to myself, only sharing with a few close to me.
Then, out of the blue, He speaks! A verse or passage seems to just jump off the page as an answer for whatever it was I had been talking about.
Sometimes I might have talked too much! My mother-in-law did warn me.
Seems I had to learn it for myself.
Maybe I didn't talk enough. Or say the right things.
Talking it out really does help. I've learned with hubby, waiting for the right time really does help. Allowing both of us to listen to what the other says. Our road-trips seem to be a great time as well.
Talking about my story depends on many things? I will talk vaguely at times, never giving them all the information. Over the years I have shared some during Bible Study and then only the things that were relevant to a particular passage we might have been discussing.
Talking about the grandchildren is probably one of my most favorite things I like to talk about! Ranging from 17 years down to 7 gives way to many new topics all the time. What a joy it has been, and I feel it will only get better!!
Who wants to talk about growing old? Other people my age, that's who.
Those older, they understand and will share wisdom along with tips.
Sharing some things with those younger, well, it might scare them. (Laughing)
Another one of my favorite things is to talk about our travels? Though we don't take extravagant vacations to Europe or Italy, traveling the USA, particularly the west right now, is about all I can do. Flying is still not an option which is why we bought the RV. Each year we get more time allowing us to go further. So far this year we have traveled 6,148 miles. Now that's something to talk about!
Stop!
