Good-bye 2017, Hello 2018!

I sure have been gone for quite a while, haven't I!

Sorry about that.

Since August I seem to have accumulated an abundant of drafts that never got published. So many were meant to be updates, explaining what we'd been up to and what had been going on. Typing the words to make sense of it was difficult, so I stop mid-sentence and take a break. Soon an hour becomes a day, a day a week, and onto months. For now, I will keep that part of our journey private. Bits and pieces might find their way into future posts, but for right now they just need to stay safely tucked away.

A number of my drafts were FMF (Five-Minute-Fridays) prompts that never got completed or published, yet the words of those weeks were like neon signs, calling me write with no time limit or fear. So many of those words hit the spot close to my heart, it was very therapeutic, helping me through a maze I found myself in.

Maybe the New Year will take me back to FMF again. I have missed it.

You might have noticed I updated my Life-365 Days a Year! Still missed 111 days this year but it was better than the last few years. I would like to become more consistent with that. For right now, taking the photos is the one constant thing in my life that I can have control over. I tend to snap stuff from around the home, to out the window of the car, with many photos allowing me to turn them into something. It's the one thing that doesn't require a lot of focusing, I just keep it set on auto, adjust my view and click. What comes out is what comes out. If only the editing were automatic.

Over these last few months, I did get my new webpage set-up. Yahoo! I still have it set as Under Construction for a bit longer. The many lessons that came with it caused my head to spin. Was it too soon? Am I pushing too hard? Could I be heading down the wrong path? Then some snags developed that I needed to figure out. I just need to take them one at a time and continue to push on. Trial and error, along with one foot in front of the other will surely get me somewhere. It always has.

Eventually, as I become more and more comfortable with writing on Wordpress, Our Journey Through LIFE will be posted there. My goal was to begin the New Year at the new site, but that just wasn't going to happen, not just yet. Soon though, that is my plan and prayers.

With our 40th Anniversary this year, we have been planning some unique journeys for probably the last 18 months. Our goal is to take 40 adventures of varying types for each year of our 40 years of marriage! It all starts on March 1st in Vegas with the NASCAR races. Our actual anniversary is on March 4, 2018. It means we will be at a 400-mile race, for our 40th anniversary on the 4th!

I'm excited about the plans that have been made and will remain open to any other possible adventures this year could bring. We've prayed about it for some time and have kept our goals within reach. Nothing too extravagant but all have some type of meaning to us. Some are just day trips, while others are weekends, and a few are a week or two long which will allow for other adventures along the way.

Our Journey Through LIFE has always been an adventure!

Be patient and please hang around, I will be sharing it with you.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and that the New Year rang in bright and cheerful.
