Monday's Child

We all remember the Nursery Rhyme, Monday's Child.

Monday's child is fair of face,
I was born on a Monday and feel I have always been fair, but if it means my face or skin is fair, well that doesn't apply.

Tuesday's child is full of grace,
My daughter was born on a Tuesday and she is definitely full of grace.

Wednesday's child is full of woe,
My hubby was born on a Wednesday. When he was born he was a blue baby. He had distress from the get go. He had to have a complete blood transfusion. Our 'Grand' Bug was also a Wednesday baby and he too had some complications during birth. As with his sister, our 'Grand' Buttons. Her entrance into the world had it's own excitement being early. Our other 'Grand' Giggles joins them also. Though her delivery was basically routine, she has had other things in her life that has caused distress.

Thursday's child has far to go,
My twins were born on a Thursday and since the learned how to get around, from scooting, to walking, to life, they will go far and sometimes far to go.

Friday's child is loving and giving,
Our 'Grand' Spitfire was born on a Friday and at 2 and half,
she is already very loving and giving.

Saturday's child must work for a living,
Our Monkey Man entered the world on a Saturday. I see him being just like his dad and will work hard, but not just for a living but because the men throughout this families history enjoys working hard to provide for their families.

But the child that's born on the Sabbath day,

Is bonny and wise, and good all day.

What day were you born on?
Does it fit you, your children or grandchildren?
