Yesterday my daughter and I pulled off one heck of a NASCAR party for her son’s 9th birthday.
Our preparations began last November while my hubby and I were at the races in Phoenix. With the help of our friends, each day we would fill our vendor bags with as many items as they would give us. Needless to say we came home with some pretty awesome stuff for the kids.
The line of cars in front were not favors, they were part of our games. All games were some type of race…grab your ankle and race around the track, hop around with feet together, (yep, hubby painted the outline of a track on our lawn) and after each race the winner got to go to the table and pick a prize.
The food table was set up as a concession stand complete with Hot Dogs, Nacho’s, Pizza, popcorn, peanuts and pretzels.
It's not often we buy cakes, usually my daughter can create some of the most awesome cakes, however her pregnancy brings limits to her abilities right now. Bug was happy to go to the store, two in fact, to pick out the cake he wanted. The car we addded at home.
We had wonderful weather for the event and the kids all had so much fun!
