When I began blogging, I mean like daily, due to NoBloPoMo,
I had no idea I would become so addicted to it.
It wasn't long that writing about my sometimes boring life
would leave me with nothing to write about.
Ok, so it's not really boring, just seems that way at times.
I love the ladies, and am sure their are some men in blogland as well, that come up with these great idea's of link ups. Follow the guide lines, create a post, then link up and read what other's wrote. I really enjoy joining in with them.
With that being said,
it is that time,
it is Friday
and MamaM at My Little Life has her 5 Question Friday.
If you have never done it, give it a try.
Go to her blog, grab the questions (or you can grab the questions from here),
answer the question,
post your question then go back to her blog and link up.
Simple, dimple!
Onto the questions and my answers:
1. Have you ever had a celeb sighting?
As in Movie Celeb?
Silly me, they could walk right past me and I wouldn't even notice. However, my hubby can and does point them out to me. Like at our first NASCAR race in Phoenix, he notices Peter Fonda, setting in the row below us and down a few seats. I say, ya right! So the guy gets up and walks past us. Hubby reached out to shake his hand and at the same time address him. "Mr. Fonda?" He answered kinda reluctantly "Yes". Unfortunately others heard this introduction and after he walked down the stairs, we were bonbarded with questions. Peter Fonda was not able to come back to his seat after that. All he wanted to do was sit there, nonshalantly and watch a race and my hubby oust him.
Then during our early years of parenting my FIL was the chauffeur for Falcon Crest. Jane Wyman was his most frequent passenger. never really talked to her, but did see her. Another time, he set up a lunch meeting with Susan Sullivan to meet our twins, but I canceled it due to fear, on my part. I was young and intimidated by the date. She was gracious about it though. I have a lot of pictures of the filming as memento's.
Living in the Napa Valley it was common to see many celebs. Shut, Robin Williams lived there as did other's whose names escape me at the moment. Consider it a senior moment, LOL.
However, racing celebs, I have had MANY encounters and do not need my hubby to point them out to me. In fact, I will ask him, "Hey, isn't that so-n-so?"
2. What temperature do you keep your house?
3. Do you notice dust at other peoples homes?
Sad to say yes, but not in a bad way. Just confirms to myself that we all deal with it's collection. I mean, come on, I live in the desert and in the country with lots of ag fields around me. I would have to dust daily just to keep up with it. Once a week is just fine. Oh, and I love the inventer of the swifter! Great little dodad!
4. What's the worst job you ever had?
4. What's the worst job you ever had?
That would be a maid for the Silverado Country Club and Resort in the Napa Valley. The green uniform we had to wear were terrible. The guest were at times rude, to say the least. However, it did recreate some home decorating skills. It only lasted about 6 months and then I went private, cleaning houses for doctor and lawyers that I chose. Plus I got to schedule myself. It was a great way to bring in extra money without taking away time from the family.
5. What is your most sentimental possession?
Wow, the MOST? Hmmm...I have so many. Seems I am just a sentimental gal. So if I must pick one above the rest it would be the very first gift my husband gave me. A teeny tiny (I use to be a size 4) tank top from a Ted Nuggent concert he went to alone but thought of me. To this day, it is folded (about the only thing that is) in my lingerie drawer.
So there you have it...now it's your turn.
OH Wow, My Father and Step Mom are HUGE Nascar fans!! Wow, would they be incredibly jealous of you :0)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
And, I had to laugh at the tank top keepsake.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and joining!
ReplyDeleteI was amazed at the huge vegetable farming operations in your area (Yuma?). Some friends and I spend time in the area when we make our medicine trips to Algodones.
Your family is lovely. And little Bella is gorgeous! Those eyes are something.
Deborah, a 18 year, at a concert, and he thinks of his NEW girlfriend. It is more then just a tee, it has an air brushed rainbow on it. Of all the tee's to pick from, I am blessed I didn't get a Ted Nuggent. I probably wouldn't have saved it or meant as much, since I wasn't with him. For him to totally think of me and my likes so early in our dating, showed so much.
